Welcome, Elyse!

The Women's Fund of East Tennessee welcomes Elyse Kolbaba, who joined the WF team this summer as Communications Intern. A junior at The University of Tennessee, Elyse is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism and Electronic Media. Since her arrival in May, Elyse has been assisting with updating the Women's Fund website, creating blog posts, coordinating social media efforts, and community outreach.

Elyse learned about the Women's Fund internship opportunity through the University of Tennessee Center for Leadership and Service, and she is a wonderful asset to the WF team. Elyse values the Women's Fund mission and appreciates the positive effect the organization has on women and girls in East Tennessee.

Elyse is a native of the Chicagoland area and has lived in Tennessee since she began her freshman year at UT nearly two years ago. She has been involved in Alpha Omicron Pi, The Real Food Challenge campaign for a healthier student body, The Odyssey Online, and Undergraduate Student Nutrition Associaton. She enjoys yoga, hiking, and exploring the sights of Knoxville.
